C25K - Week 1

Yesterday evening, I met my dear friend at the Rec Center for our Week 1 Day 1 workout (W1D1) of the C25K.

Even at 7:30pm it was hotter than the blue blazes outside!  But that didn't stop us.  We put on our running shoes, turned on the podcast and off we went.

Week 1 Workouts are all the same:  5 minute brisk warm-up walk.  Then you start with a 60 second jog, 90 second walk, 60 second jog, etc. for a total of 20 minutes.  Then a 5 minute cool-down walk.

This workout lasted 30 minutes.  Distance wise we walked/jogged about 2.5 miles.

I was very proud of us!  It definitely deserved a high-five when we finished!

I have also started back on the WW points program.  I found that last year although I didn't go to meetings, just keeping track of what I was eating and exercising I could really tell a difference.  We'll see how this goes.
