"10N7"

Today I am starting a new diet.
It is called "How to Lose 10lbs in a Week".  I have dubbed it "10N7", others have referred to it as the "diet of death."  Apparently, it is difficult and stressful.  But I keep telling myself, surely to goodness I can do this for 7 days, right?!?!  So I am going to give it a whirl.

If you have a special occasion and you need to lose weight in a week, it is possible. Maybe you are going on vacation to the beach and need to look good in a bathing suit, or maybe you just need some fast weight loss for an event that you are attending. Whatever the occasion, you can lose 10 pounds fast in order to fit into that cocktail dress or bikini.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Instructions.
To begin losing weight, for breakfast each day, have 2 eggs, any style. Mix it up so you do not get bored. Eat poached, boiled, over-easy, or scrambled, it is your choice. Do not add salt, as this will cause you to retain water, which gives the appearance of fat. Have some sausage, but check the carbohydrate content before purchasing. Carbohydrate content should be less than 1 gram per 3 sausages for maximum weight loss.

For lunch, if you want to lose 10 pounds of body fat, eat a turkey or roast beef wrap daily. You lay the meat on a surface and put two tomato slices, a slice of cheese and a piece of lettuce, and then roll the whole thing into a wrap. Do not use any bread, pita or other wrapping material. Use the meat as the wrap. Check the carbohydrate content of the meat before purchase. If you want to lose weight quickly, the meat should be less than one gram per 3-4 slices. Only use 6 slices in your wrap. If you are still hungry, you can eat two of these. You can also use a large piece of lettuce, spinach or other green, and wrap that on the outside of the meat. The carbohydrate content is relatively low if you pick the right meat. Roast beef is generally lower in carbohydrate content. One cup of salad with one tablespoon of a low carbohydrate dressing, (usually blue cheese) is fine for a side item.

3  For dinner each night, have either broiled or baked chicken, steak, shrimp or fish. Have one and a half cups of salad on the side with blue cheese dressing (2 tablespoons maximum).

4  For maximum weight loss, stick to the plan. Only drink water, coffee with sweet and low, green tea, diet soda, or other drinks that contain no carbohydrates.

If you must have something sweet while on this weight loss program, try sugarless jello with a dollop of whipped cream. They are both low in carbohydrates. Just limit this to one cup or less.

6  You can lose 10 pounds in a week with this method. Stick to the diet for one week and you will experience significant weight loss. In order to increase weight loss, exercise for at least 30 minutes daily. You will lose weight if you follow this low carbohydrate diet plan.

Do not eat any bread, pasta, fruit, soda, juice, or anything else not mentioned above..This diet is intended for only a week or two.

Today was weigh-in day.  Have you noticed my post title?  Definitely NOT A LOSS this week!  I knew that I would be off b/c I didn't eat the greatest this weekend plus adding in my late night dinner on Wednesday.....I blew it.  I am glad that I didn't gain it all back, but I am definitely not satisfied with my performance.  I've got to get on the wagon and drive this beast into town if I expect to see the results that I want.

Today I have really been kicking myself in the butt.  I hate it.  Its like I know I need to be working out, eating right, being conscious of everything that I put into my body and do with my body.....but for some reason, I will lay in bed b/c I'm too tired or cozy to get up.  Working out at 6am doesn't sound good.  Working out 2x/day doesn't sound fun.  But in reality, if I want to see results, I've got to be willing to do the work that goes along with it.

I was just telling someone this week that it is so fun to get fat (you know, eating everything and anything you want, however much of it you want, etc.)  Trying to get it off is so not fun.  I just want to snap my fingers and the weight be gone, but it doesn't happen like that.  I'm going to have to put hard work and dedication into this if I expect to see results.

Today was the Week 2 Day 2 C25K.  Again, Becky and I made it to the park for our run at just the right time.  Any later and we would have been soaked!  It hurt a lot to run, but somehow or another, we were able to complete our 2 miles in better time!  YAY!  We shaved about 7 minutes off of it!

I had eaten pretty well for the majority of the day.  I still don't feel that I ate horribly, but it is never wise to eat as late as I did tonight.  I had left the office at 5 and drove straight to Franklin where I met Becky for our run.  I didn't want to eat before running b/c that would make me sick, but I didn't have time to eat afterwards b/c I had to be at church for TeamKIDS.  By the time church was over at 8pm, I couldn't get to McDonald's fast enough.  I ended up getting a Happy Meal, but still, not a good idea to eat that late.  I was so hungry I was getting sick.  I still ate within my daily points plus my earned points for working out....so I didn't feel bad about my choices. I jsut felt bad about my timing.

Thursday is weigh-in day and I know that the Happy Meal is going to hurt me.  Ugh.

I didn't too awful bad today.  But I still went over my daily points, BUT i actually worked out today so I earned some points.  Meaning in all reality I didn't go over my points!  YAY!

It was rainy most of the day and I was wondering whether or not I was going to be able to do my run with Becky.  But the rain held off long enough for us to meet at the park and do the Couch to 5K (C25K).  Becky had started last week so she had already completed Week 1 and I just joined in on Week 2.  Oh my gosh.  Its insane.  You start with a 5 min warm-up, then you run 90 secs, walk 2 mins, repeat 6x, then end with a 5 min cool down.  It is a silent killer.

Definitely not a good thing to eat at the Longhorn, unless you eat a salad w/o cheese or dressing.  haha
Live and learn right?

Weight Loss: -1.2

First of all before you all think that I am a total loser for eating so many points today....I am well aware that I went over my points.  But since today was my weigh-in day, I used the rest of my day as my "cheat" day.  Normally wouldn't have eaten no where near as many points, but I was thrown off for dinner.  (Long story short, it had a lot to do with the fact that I spent my evening on the phone with Direct TV and Frontier...3 hours worth of phone calls....so frustrating.)

I had a hectic morning, I woke up at 4:30am and was STARVING.  I had to eat something and the Wheat Thin Stix are all that I had handy.  They are really good, I had the sundried tomato kind and yummy!  Then I had to take my sweet Mimi LaRue to the groomer.  She is always a handful when she gets in the car.  I'm not sure what causes her to act that way, but she will whine, and try to get in my face, crawl over to the passenger seat, get up in the window, get underneath my arm and seatbelt, etc.  It just makes me frazzled by the time I get her to the grommer.  Then she relizes where she is and she begins shaking all over b/c she is scared.  God love her, it breaks my heart.  But she will LOVE me this afternoon when she is all cleanned up and trim.  (I will say that whenever she comes home from the groomer, she always looks pitiful.  She is super skinny and they basically shave her and she looks so little...but with super long legs.  I'll try to get a picture so you can see how she looks.)

Today is Thursday Weigh-In Day with my 2 coworkers.  Since I was running late b/c of the groomer, they had already weighed in by the time I got to work, but that was ok!  They both had losses (one of them 3 lbs!)  I was really nervous b/c I knew that I wanted a loss, and after stripping off my belt, necklace, bracelet and boots, I ended up with a 1.2lb loss from last week.

I know I could have done a lot better had I not eaten everything in sight over the weekend and if I would have been doing some kinda of exercise, but I'll take my 1.2 loss and be proud of it.  I hope to lose a lot more next week, as this week I am actually being more serious about my exercise.  I'm shotting for a 2lb loss this next week, but my ultimate goal is 3lbs.

Here is my sweet little Mimi LaRue all shaven.....she always looks SOOOOOO itty bitty.  Her legs are super long...we call her spider money.
